Trump doing the job Brian Kemp will not do: AJC letter to the editor today

February 25, 2020 By D.A. King

Candidate Brian Kemp in his big truck – in case he rounds up criminal illegals. Image: The Hill, 2018

From today’s Atlanta Journal Constitution

Readers write.

Trump is doing job Kemp promised to do

President Trump is (reportedly) sending special operations agents of the Border Patrol to assist Immigration Customs and Enforcement in sanctuary cities — including Atlanta. This move by Washington brilliantly illustrates a failure to launch by Gov. Brian Kemp. Kemp, of the “big truck in case I need it to round up criminal illegals” fame of the 2018 campaign also promised to end sanctuary cities, and to “track and deport” with creation of a database of criminal aliens. The Dustin Inman Society is offering a reward for information leading to the discovery of any quote, quip, remark, utterance, legislation or order from Kemp on illegal immigration since he won the election.

Trump is doing the job Kemp will not do in Georgia. His record shows Kemp is merely another business-first politician who has turned his back on pro-enforcement voters who trusted him on illegal immigration. It was the “Big Truck Trick.” And it will be long remembered.

The AJC strikes again – inaccurately uses “anti-immigration” description (again) corrects, then reverses correction…in less than 48 hours: Responding to the smears *UPDATED WITH AJC CORRECTION

August 6, 2019 By D.A. King

Image: AJC

 **UPDATED WITH AJC CORRECTION

Note, this piece was originally posted on the Dustin Inman Society blog.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution strikes again. Twice. In less than forty-eight hours.

After constantly correcting them – for sixteen years – on the fact that being pro-enforcement on immigration doesn’t qualify anyone, including me, as “anti-immigrant” or “anti-immigration” – and that I am neither – they have again labeled me as “anti-immigrant” And “anti-immigration.” Did I mention it was twice in less than forty-eight hours?

Oh, and BTW: They seem to not approve of the concept of nationalism.

The morning after my late-night phone call/voice mail to an AJC reporter twenty minutes after his story on a Gwinnett County 287(g) panel discussion in which I participated hit the internet, the AJC changed their “anti-immigrant” description of me in the online version of the story to “anti-undocumented immigrant…” Then, in the same story for the next day’s print version ran a photo of me with the caption describing me as “a controversial anti-immigration activist.”

Without exaggeration, by phone, email and letters, I have told these people about fifty times that I fight for enforcement of immigration and employment laws and for sanity in immigration levels. That my adopted sister is an immigrant.  As are many donors and some members of the board of the Dustin Inman Society, which I founded in 2005.

The most recent example is a letter to the editor that was sent – and published – last June in response to another inaccurate and libelous depiction of yours truly as “anti-immigration” that was also changed after I complained:

“A recent column by the AJC’s Bill Torpy on the front of the Metro section falsely referred to me as an “anti-immigration activist.” The widely known truth is that for the last 15 years I have proudly fought for sanity in immigration and enforcement of American immigration laws. That effort is easily and succinctly described as “pro-enforcement.”

For the record – yet again – I am not “anti-immigration” any more than the folks at Mothers Against Drunk Driving are “anti-driving.” Neither is my adopted sister, who is an immigrant.

In today’s media, the angry leftists who scream in American streets waving placards that literally demand an end of immigration enforcement are usually described as “civil rights” or “immigrant rights” groups. Never the obvious “anti-enforcement” groups.

A majority of Americans – including millions of immigrants – support honoring our rich tradition of immigration with the unapologetic enforcement of our very liberal immigration laws. The fact that media writers intentionally and deceptively depict us as being “anti-immigration” is an illustration of the inherent liberal bias and eagerness to smear honest Americans on the most critical issue of our time.

AJC writer Torpy seems to be “anti-accuracy.”

D.A. KING, MARIETTA, PRESIDENT, THE DUSTIN INMAN SOCIETY Here.

Note: I have no idea why some of the text above is larger font and I cannot make it go away...

Either these very liberal editors and reporters don’t read their own newspaper, are unable to retain information longer than an hour – or they are driven by an agenda to dishonestly marginalize anyone who does not adopt the “immigration enforcement is extreme/racist” position. To be clear. I firmly believe it is the latter.

In the AJC world, corporate-funded, screaming  anti-enforcement activists are described as ….”immigrant advocates.” Sometimes “civil rights activists.”

The reporters and leadership of the Georgia’s largest newspaper should be regarded as an organ of, and for, the illegal alien lobby from here on. I have asked for another correction and retraction.

The editor of the AJC is Kevin Riley. Despite the fact that the shrinking AJC has no public editor, neither he or most of his editors respond to my emails or phone calls. *Notable exception: Editorial Editor Andre Jackson, who I believe to be an honorable journalist in every sense of the word. Andre Jackson is the only employee I know at the AJC that I trust.

The story is too long to tell at one time here, so only a little expansion for now.

On a panel discussion in Gwinnett County focused on 287(g) an AJC reporter filed this story late on the same night as the event ( again, they don’t seem to like the self-description of “proud American nationalist” at all). The 1996 federal tool, 287(g) is designed to locate illegal aliens who land in local jails. Note that the anti-287(g) participants (some who dropped out) are referred to as “immigrant advocate groups.”

In the first try, I am described in this paragraph with

“King spoke first and audience members opposed to 287(g) greeted him with signs filled with his previous anti-immigrant rhetoric. His opening statement riled them further.”

After my phone call complaint, it was changed to:

“King spoke first and audience members opposed to 287(g) greeted him with signs filled with his past comments regarding undocumented immigrants. His opening statement riled them further.”

In the print version (that is also sent out electronically) of the same story that ran on August 2, the AJC editors reversed the reporter’s previous correction and inserted a photo of me with the caption:

“D.A. King, a controversial anti-immigration activist, represented the sheriff’s office on a panel discussion of the 287(g) program.” —  All italic emphasis mine.

Image: AJC

Not only is the “anti-immigration” activist description wrong. but the AJC has invented out of thin air the notion that I was somehow representing the sheriff’s office. I would have been very proud to do that, but I was asked to speak on 287(g) as president of the Dustin Inman Society.

So, questions for the AJC team – if I was supposedly representing the sheriff, who were the three anti-enforcement characters representing? How did it happen that only D.A. King was supposedly representing somebody else in your story?

–>*Update: Too funny: On Wednesday, August 7 on page 2. the AJC corrected the whole cloth fabrication that I was somehow on the panel as a representative of the Sheriff, here. But the “credible”, “compelling”, “complete” coverage AJC editor Kevin Riley constantly tries to sell on radio ads never corrected the fake news that I am an “anti-immigration activist” – while they portrayed the anti-enforcement mob as “immigrant advocates.”

Note to the propagandists at the AJC: Even the New York Times has made that correction on my motivation.

Image – AJC

Image: AJC

The young AJC reporter asked me one or two questions – and that was clearly an after-thought formality on his way out the door. His lead query to me?

“Do you think you inflamed this event? …by being here, I mean.”

Contact info for the AJC leadership here. The columns the AJC editorial page team has published from me listed here. Did they inflame anyone by printing them?

I have sent them a letter to the editor about the fact they use the disgraced SPLC as an arbiter of “hate…” I will post it tomorrow if they don’t run it.

*Update: An edited and shortened version of my letter finally ran. Many thanks to Mr. Andre Jackson.

Pee-uuuu.

Answering the smear – “blow up your buildings…” How a lie passed on by the AJC in 2007 is still being used against D.A. King (me)

August 5, 2019 By D.A. King

Jerry Gonzalez, GALEO. Image, DIS files.

“smear

damage the reputation of (someone) by false accusations; slander.

synonyms:

sully, tarnish, besmirch, blacken, drag through the mud/mire, stain, taint, damage, defame, discredit, defile, vilify, malign, slander, libel, stigmatize, calumniate.”

There is a difference between immigrants and illegal aliens. Opposition to illegal immigration is not “anti-immigrant” (for the 10000th time).

Many anti-enforcement race-hustlers, including the SPLC, George Chidi and GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez are again spreading various versions of the lie that in 2007 I went to Covington, Ga. and told a room full of curious people that immigrants are here to “blow up your buildings and kill your children, and you, and me.”

This is an intentional lie and uses the common practice of the left of redefining the English language, and taking a few words out of context to wield as a smear weapon to silence pro-enforcement advocates.

At a 2007 GOP meeting where I was invited to speak on illegal immigration I was in a segment of my presentation that mentioned what the MSM or the illegal alien lobby will never allow the public to know: Individuals from countries with known ties to terrorism are coming over our borders illegally. It was true then and it is true now. Here is a quick link from 2016.

Here is one from 2021.

To be clear for the slow: I am/was saying that some illegal aliens – both illegal border crossers and visa violation or overstays – come from terrorist countries and they are not all here to work on the cheap. I am/was not talking about legal immigrants (although some could be terrorists). The leftist media and the corporate-funded illegal alien lobby constantly try to blur the line between illegal aliens and immigrants.

I had recently returned from one of my many trips to the Arizona/Mexico border where Border Patrol Agents confirmed that fact for us.

A reporter from the local newspaper was present for my speech and wrote the meeting up. Here is a part of his story in which he quotes me:

“The porous border with Mexico is especially dangerous, he added, saying that it has been an entrance point for people from countries with known ties to terrorism.

“They’re not here to mow your lawn — they’re here to blow up your buildings and kill your children, and you, and me,” he said.

To prove his point, he flaunted two authentic Mexican government-issued photo ID cards — called matriculas consulares — that he said he was able to get using fake Mexican birth certificates. One of them lists his name; the other is under the name “Al Qada Gonzalez.” ( Note from D.A. – no, mine, like many, are fake)Current enforcement is so lax, he said, that the cards can be used in some states to obtain valid drivers licenses and board airplanes.

Georgia, which has seen a large influx of illegal immigration in recent years, should also be prepared to become a new front for problems with employment and crime that have been seen in border states, he said.”

The entire report can seen here – I pasted it into my blog.

I also have had a congressional report on the terrorost/border angle plainly posted on the DIS homepage since it was issued in 2006.

“Members of Hezbollah have already entered the United States across the Southwest border”. “A Line In the Sand: Confronting the Threat at the Southwest Border” U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security report, 2006.

This is not the first time this fabrication has come up. Several months after the Covington speech, GALEO’s Jerry Gonzalez began his campaign to convince people I made the statement about “immigrants.” That lie was passed on by the AJC’s Jim Galloway in his Political Insider blog – using the term “reportedly.” When I saw it, I called Galloway and explained GALEO’s intent to create fake news, sent him the Covington news report reflecting what I actually said and asked him to run a correction and explanation of the out-of-context smear he had helped perpetuate.

Jim Galloway – Photo: Muck Rack

I never heard another word about it from Jim Galloway and it was never corrected to my knowledge.

This is just one example of how the media helps pass on lies about honest Americans who fight for immigration enforcement and secure borders. I have to spend time correcting lies and defending my reputation because the “watchdog media” is anything but. *UPDATE, July, 2021: Happily, Galloway has retired from the liberal AJC. Sadly, his replacements are worse on this.

Below, a notorious Democrat politician explains the “wrap up smear.” Youtube

‘DEFAMATORY’: Conservative Demands Swing-State Newspaper Retract ‘Hate Group’ Smear

From the Daily Signal

Tyler O’Neil

October 22, 2024

D.A. King, an immigration enforcement activist whose defamation lawsuit against the Southern Poverty Law Center is proceeding in court, sent a legal demand letter to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, requesting a correction when the newspaper called his organization an “anti-immigration hate group.”

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the paper of record in and around Georgia’s capital city, mentioned King’s group, the Dustin Inman Society, as an aside in an Oct. 7 article about Katy Stamper, who won the Democratic primary in Georgia’s 11th Congressional District. Democrats now support a write-in candidate, claiming Stamper won the primary on false pretenses.

“A search of activity under her birth name, Karen Sacandy, which Stamper legally changed in 2019, showed that she previously was aligned with a Marietta-based anti-immigration hate group,” The Journal-Constitution’s Washington correspondent, Tia Mitchell, wrote. Mitchell went on to include links to the Dustin Inman Society’s website, without mentioning the society or explaining why the paper characterized it as an “anti-immigration hate group.”

The Daily Signal depends on the support of readers like you. Donate nowfreestar

The Dustin Inman Society, which advocates enforcing immigration law and combats illegal immigration, has three legal immigrants on its board of advisors: Mary Grabar (from Slovenia); Maria Litland (from Austria); and Sabine Durden-Coulter (from Germany). The society takes its name from a 16-year-old Georgia boy killed in a 2000 car crash caused by an illegal immigrant.

“This smear is an ongoing and retaliatory habit for the staff at the AJC,” King told The Daily Signal in a written statement Friday. “They know it’s false and have had to run corrections many times over the years telling readers that we are aimed at illegal immigration and are not somehow ‘anti-immigration.’”

Where Did AJC Get the Idea?

King is already fighting to restore his reputation in court after one left-leaning organization, the Southern Poverty Law Center, branded the Dustin Inman Society a “hate group.”

The SPLC, which routinely brands mainstream conservative and Christian organizations “hate groups” and puts them on a map with chapters of the Ku Klux Klan, branded the society an “anti-immigrant hate group” in 2018. Yet back in 2011, the SPLC told The Associated Press that it didn’t consider the society a “hate group.”

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which advocates lessening immigration restrictions, registered a lobbyist to oppose a bill the society supported. The SPLC marked the society as a “hate group” around the same time.

King sued the SPLC for defamation, and a federal judge allowed the lawsuit to move to the discovery process.

As I explain in my book “Making Hate Pay: The Corruption of the Southern Poverty Law Center,” a terrorist used the organization’s “hate map” to attack a conservative Christian nonprofit in Washington, D.C., in 2012, and a former SPLC staffer called the “hate” accusations a “highly profitable scam.” Many defamation lawsuits against the SPLC have failed, however, in part because few plaintiffs before King could prove that the organization had reason to suspect the “hate group” label was false.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution didn’t cite the SPLC in its attack on the Dustin Inman Society, and it didn’t respond to The Daily Signal’s request for comment for this story.

In Competition With the SPLC?

King told The Daily Signal that the newspaper is echoing the Southern Poverty Law Center’s attack but setting itself up as a separate arbiter of “hate.”

“Since we began our battle against illegal immigration here in 2005, the AJC has migrated from merely being biased, liberal and agenda-driven to blooming into apparent competition with the despicable SPLC,” he said. “They have now apparently taken it upon themselves to bypass the leftist establishment smear artists and classify pro-enforcement political opponents who talk back as operating an ‘anti-immigration hate group’ themselves—including those who are immigrants.”

King said the newspaper was engaging in a double standard: condemning his organization as a “hate group” while celebrating those on the Left who advocate amnesty for illegal aliens. He cited the Georgia Association of Elected Officials, which goes by the acronym GALEO and describes itself as focusing “on increasing civic participation of the Latinx community and developing prominent Latino leaders throughout Georgia.”

“In the meantime,” King said of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “they label anti-enforcement, far-left groups such as the notorious GALEO that publicly protest against immigration enforcement as ‘civil rights groups.’”

King also noted that the AJC paid to sponsor the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund gala in 2004. Mario Obledo, MALDEF’s co-founder, had suggested that non-Hispanic, white California residents should move “back to Europe.”

When then-President Bill Clinton gave Obledo the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1998, a man in the audience asked, “You also made the statement that California is going to become a Hispanic state and if anyone doesn’t like it they should leave. Did you say that?”

“I did,” Obledo replied. “They ought to go back to Europe.”

“The AJC has promoted open borders and helped this far-left, anti-borders group with fundraising,” King told The Daily Signal. “Just because MALDEF founder Mario Obledo called for Americans who didn’t agree with his plan for California and saying those who didn’t ‘ought to go back to Europe’ didn’t stop AJC from serving as ‘dinner chair’ for a MALDEF funder gala here.”… please read the entire article here.

COBB COUNTY SHERIFF CRAIG OWENS IS A DANGEROUS MAN

September 21, 2024 By D.A. King

Craig Owens invited a mariachi band to play at his gala announcment event hosting far-left extremists against immigration enforcement

  •  Related reading: Georgia law requires all jailers to report incarcerated illegal aliens to DHS – but it’s not enforced

“It may be historic in that it’s likely the first time a Cobb County sheriff has moved to protect drunk driving child rapists in our country illegally.”

So says Jon Ferre of Cobb’s Democrat Sheriff, Craig Owens. Ferre was Senior Advisor to the Director and later Chief of Staff at ICE under the Trump administration. Owens is well-known for inviting a mariachi band to play at a gala event in which he proudly announced he had ended the Cobb jail’s lifesaving 287(g) agreement with ICE shortly after taking office in 2021.

:

Signed into law by then President Bill Clinton, 287 (g) authorizes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to delegate to state and local law enforcement officers the authority to perform limited, specified immigration officer functions under the agency’s direction and oversight. It is primarily used in jails and deals with illegal aliens already arrested for additional crimes.

As this writer observed when he was elected,Sheriff Craig Owens is a dangerous man. He is also defiantly arrogant. He has announced that he will not obey new state law on immigration enforcement.

The mariachi band Owens invited to play at his event announcing the end of 287(g) in the Cobb jail.

Owens has pledged to ignore a clear mandate in HB 1105 (“The Georgia Criminal Alien Track and Report Act”) passed in the 2024 General Assembly. In part, it requires all sheriffs to apply for 287 (g) authority if they are not already authorized.

From the AJC: (“Whiplash in Gwinnett, Cobb as new law on immigration enforcement takes effect) “Owens says he was not going to apply for 287(g) again because he can’t spare the deputies to investigate  immigration cases or do the administrative work.” Sheriff Owens is depending on public ignorance on the reality of the ICE program. But even the AJC quotes Lena Gerber, a leftist activist at the “Immigrant Legal Resource Center” when she correctly points out that “…the agreements on their own don’t require deputies to go out of their way to investigate immigration cases.”

Ferre, the former ICE official agreed. “Asking a jailed individual a few questions about citizenship and alienage obviously doesn’t amount to an investigation.” Now at the Center for Immigration Studies in Washington D.C., Ferre produced required reading on Cobb’s Sheriff (Georgia Sheriff Misleads on 287(g) Program) in June.

I asked various pro-enforcement Georgians about Owens announcement….

“LIMITED TERM” drivers license: Non-citizen ID not excluded from use as “proper ID” at GA’s polls

September 9, 2024 By D.A. King

A suggestion for voters who actually go to the polls and cast a vote in person: When the poll worker asks you for I.D and you pull out your drivers license, ask them if they would have accepted your license if it read “LIMITED TERM” across the top.

Spoiler: The answer will be “yes, we accept all Georgia drivers licenses.”

Because that’s the law.

“Section 21-2-417 – Presentation of proper identification to poll workers; “…each elector shall present proper identification to a poll worker at or prior to completion of a voter’s certificate at any polling place and prior to such person’s admission to the enclosed space at such polling place. Proper identification shall consist of any one of the following: (1) A Georgia driver’s license which was properly issued by the appropriate state agency…”

There is nothing in Georgia law that excludes the “LIMITED TERM” drivers license or state ID card from being regarded as “proper identification’ at the polls.

What are the LIMITED TERM drivers licenses and official state ID Cards?

They are the driving/ID credentials issued to non-U.S. citizens by Georgia’s Dept. of Drivers Services (DDS). This includes students here on temporary visas, Mercedes Benz executives on visas – and illegal aliens who are still benefitting from the protections of deferred deportation proceedings illegally conferred by Barack Obama in 2012 as part of his pandering re-election campaign.

There have been several attempts under the Gold Dome to rectify this needless lapse in common sense and security. None of them were allowed to pass.

LIMITED TERM GA drivers license as proposed in HB 228 (2021 session)
GA’s Current LIMITED TERM drivers license.

The most recent try was in 2021 with HB 228 sponsored by Cherokee County Republican Rep. Charlice Byrd and an impressive list of powerful cosponsors. The bill was well-written and simple. It would have added wording to the law that excluded drivers licenses and ID Cards issued to foreigners. The bill would have added words across the top of the credentials that read: ‘BEARER NOT A U.S. CITIZEN — NOT VOTER ID’.” For mail in voting protections the legislation would have required DDS to create a document numbering system in which all non-citizen’s document numbers began with “NC” alerting all concerned to the non-citizens status of the bearer.

Readers may remember the climate of the nation, state and legislative session in 2021 after the 2020 election results. The short end of this story is that HB 228 was not allowed so much as a vote in the House Special Committee on Election Integrity. We had to fight to even get an abbreviated, Friday PM hearing. Taking a goofy talking point from the far-left, Republican opponents told us the change would be branding non-citizens with a “Scarlett Letter.”

The bill died after much push back by Ryan Germany, then General Counsel at the Georgia Secretary of State office.

  • Related reading: That’s not accurate, Mr. Germany: Fact checking Ryan Germany, General Counsel to Georgia’s SoS on his testimony on HB 228

Voters may want to ask their Republican legislators to reintroduce the bill and easily solve a needless – and mindless – lapse in security.

I end by suggesting readers check out the star in the righthand corner of the current LIMITED TERM drivers license issued in Georgia. That denotes it is REAL ID Act compliant. It’s not only U.S. citizens who are given that status on their licenses.

REAL ID Act approval allows the bearer to enter nuclear power facilities, federal buildings and to board airliners in the post- 9/11 America. Google it.

Stolen Valor: GA state Senator Shawn Still does not want to talk about his false claim of being a military veteran

September 1, 2024 By D.A. King

State Sen. Shawn Still. (Twitter/X)

.

“Tori, don’t, don’t ever say that to me again. I am too. I’ve served proudly, and you don’t need to throw that in my face.” Republican state Senator Shawn Still on veteran status to Senate District 20 Republican Primary candidate and former U.S. Marine Tori Branum in a recorded May, 2024 telephone conversation.

________________

In several May, 2024 posts, we focused on a claim by Georgia state Senator Shawn Still (R- Norcross) that he is a military veteran. He isn’t.

GA Lt. Gov. Burt Jones (R), President of the Senate.

While the political right correctly goes after Democrat Tim Walz for his shameless stolen valor remarks, as far as we can see there is silence from Georgia Republicans on Shawn Still. That includes Georgia Republican Party leadership, Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp, the president of the Senate, Lt, Governor Burt Jones, Still’s Senate colleagues and Republican voters – even voters in Still’s home district in Gwinnett County.

You can read about Freshman Sen. Shawn Still here and here and here. There is a lot more information linked into the posts.

Shawn Still Senate bio here.

For political insiders who do more than read “the news” it may help to explain Senator Still’s approach to policy by pointing out he was named the 2023 Freshman Senator of the Year by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. That reminds us: Don’t forget to remember the date of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce 2024 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Summit.

  • Senator Shawn Still can be contacted at his Capitol office here.

Heads up: Still has made it clear to this writer that he does not want to talk about the stolen valor topic.

Producers of the realmuckraker.com video on ineligible voters in Georgia need adult supervision – with info on GALEO

August 2, 2024 By D.A. King

Screen shot from @muckraker video.

Note: It looks like it’s “realmuckraker.com” and “@muckraker” on X.  Correcti0ns welcomed.

There is a video from something called “realmuckraker.com”  (“Non-Citizens Registered to Vote in Georgia“) going around that features Hispanic people apparently living in Gwinnett County GA. being asked if they are registered to vote or if they have already voted. Some of those asked say they are not U.S. citizens but have indeed already voted. Others say they are here illegally and are registered to vote. It seems easy enough to verify…

The @muckraker video has been sent here by numerous people – many of whom I haven’t heard from in a long time.

Observations:

If you are looking for an example of the power created by corporate donations to radical, far-left, anti-enforcement groups here in Georgia that loudly boast about their decade-long push to register voters, see the GALEO Inc. concern founded by former MALDEF board member and former Democrat Georgia state Senator Sam Zamarippa. It has been run since its inception in 2003 by a former MALDEF lobbyist and Democrat fundraiser, Jerry Gonzalez, who is a determined and perpetually angry Marxist ethnic hustler.

  • Bonus education on MALDEF: “…Co-founder Mario Obledo said in 1998: “California is going to be a Hispanic state and anyone who doesn’t like it should leave. They ought to go back to Europe.”

To get started on the GALEO voter registration caper, see here and here and here and here.

GALEO staffers go door to door to register voters.

A long-time member of the GALEO Inc. Board of Directors, Dax Lopez, saw his Obama-sponsored nomination for a lifetime seat on the federal bench go down in flames when the GALEO ties were made public. This writer was happy to lead that fight and create the deciding online exposure that we shared with our U.S. Senators then.

“Unauthorized population” vs non-citizens

The realmuckraker.com video has some serious flaws in that is presents a table from the leftist Migration Policy Institute with an out-of-date estimate of the “Unauthorized Population” living in Georgia. “Unauthorized” is one of the many “don’t say illegal” words used by the anti-enforcement side to describe illegal aliens. We think MPI’s numbers are drastically low as they have been up long before the Democrats opened the southern border when the Biden/Harris administration took over the White House.

Screen shot from the @muckrakers video

But that’s not the point: MPI is estimating illegal aliens living in Georgia. The narrative presented by the gang at @realmuckraker / actforamerica substack talks about “non-citizens” – foreigners living in Georgia – legally or not.

For clarity: A German Mercedes Benz executive here on a temporary work visa living with his family in Atlanta is a “non-citizen” – but not part of the “unauthorized population.”  Nether are the members of his family, assuming they came on a visa (such as an H-4 visa).

The (dated and too low) info in the video from MPI is on “unauthorized population.” (illegal aliens). The video narrative presented says “non-citizens” – which includes foreigners here legally. It’s sloppy and unprofessional. Conflating illegals with foreign nationals here lawfully has a significant effect on the stats in the realmuckraker’s breathless conclusion that there may be “over forty-seven thousand non-citizens registered to vote” in Georgia. It’s a shame that so many people are getting an unfounded view of this issue.

That said – I have no idea if or how many ineligible voters have been registered by GALEO Inc. and the Democrats. But neither do the well-intentioned people who are sending me this whacky video. Because they aren’t paying attention.

Illegal immigration is crime

July 14, 2024 By D.A. King

Pro-enforcement Americans should talk back to liberal media

By now in the ongoing illegal alien invasion and colonization of the United States, even the most unaware Americans must surely recognize the endless effort from the left to intentionally conflate “immigrants” with illegal aliens. And to convince us that illegal aliens are less likely to commit crimes than Americans. The intentional push by the liberal media stenographers to happily assist with the endeavor does not and will not end the activist propaganda campaign.

One of the legacy media/Democrat (my apologies for the repetition) goals is to auto-paint as “anti-immigrant” Americans who demand the nation’s immigration laws be enforced or notice the resulting crime.” It’s a “pro-enforcement opinion on immigration is “hate” effort on the part of media.

Here is a March example from NPR of this pre-planned dishonesty titled “Immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born Americans, studies find” posted after an illegal alien allegedly murdered Laken Riley in Athens. NPR “reporter” Jasmine Garsd quotes U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R- AL): “She (Laken Riley) was brutally murdered by one of the millions of illegal border crossers President Biden chose to release into our homeland. Y’all … as a mom, I can’t quit thinking about this. I mean, this could have been my daughter. This could have been yours.”

NPR in the very next paragraph: “The claim that immigration brings on a crime wave can be traced back to the first immigrants who arrived in the U.S. Ever since the 1980s and ’90s, this false narrative saw a resurgence.”

See what they did there? Illegal immigration is simply “immigration.”

“False narrative” indeed.

Here is another example from the despicable Atlanta Journal Constitution in a recent report on the June Biden-Trump debate (“Hispanic voters in Georgia react to a debate that often centered on immigration”). It’s from their immigration writer, Lautaro Grinspan with assistance from another AJC typist, Helena Oliverio. The piece explains to the reader that Trump asserts the U.S. Mexico border is considered the most dangerous place in the world. He pointed to the fact that illegal border crossings have reached record highs during the Biden administration. The topic is illegal immigration.

The AJC: “While some individuals who entered the country illegally have gone on to commit violent crimes, including here in Georgia, data shows that a vast majority of immigrants don’t. According to a Northwestern University study published earlier this year, immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than U.S.-born citizens (italics mine).

See what they did there?

The AJC’s front page slogan is “The Substance and soul of the south.”

  • Bonus reading on the Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper

The far-left NPR is also one of many anti-enforcement outlets pushing this gem: “There is also state level research, that shows similar results: researchers at the CATO Institute, a libertarian think tank, looked into Texas in 2019. They found that undocumented immigrants were 37.1% less likely to be convicted of a crime. (italics mine). Not said: CATO is an open borders concern. Readers who doubt that statement should read “Forget the Wall Already, It’s Time for the U.S. to Have Open Borders” – the CATO Institute, July, 2018.

Pro-enforcement readers should know and use some static truth on illegal immigration.

  • “Illegal Entry”/8 U.S.C. § 1325 makes it a crime to unlawfully enter the United States. A first offense is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine, up to six months in prison, or both.
  • “Illegal Re-Entry”/8 U.S.C. § 1326 makes it a crime to unlawfully reenter, attempt to unlawfully reenter, or to be found in the United States after having been deported, ordered removed, or denied admission. This crime is punishable as a felony with a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
  • Illegal employment is the main driver of illegal immigration in the U.S.
  • It is a federal offense to knowingly hire an “undocumented worker” (8 USC 1324(a).
  • The use of a false Social Security Number or card to obtain a benefit is a felony, punishable by a fine, and up to five years in prison (SSA.gov) .
  • Identity theft is a crime (IRS.gov).

Illegal immigration is organized crime.

Responsible conservatives should fight back by talking back to the left – including media – with an educated voice.

Because silence is consent.
